This is Madeleine. Madeleine was born in Pomona, moved to Sac when she was 5, and is a 5th grader at Camellia Waldorf School. She is the daughter of Citizen Sarah. We were on a class trip to Yosemite this past week and she graciously allowed me to make her a Citizen. Madeleine loves to camp and thought Yosemite was one of her best trips ever. It was her first time there and she was very impressed (as we all were) with the amazing amount of waterfalls, rivers, and creeks that were raging this time of year. She also loves to go to Big Sur and Pt. Reyes. Madeleine loves school, especially learning to draw, playing the violin and eurythmy. She hopes to go to Acting camp this summer. After school, Madeleine plans on either going to college for acting or maybe a Vet school. She loves Harry Potter, Judy Blume, and Jean Craighead Gorge books. Her favorite movie is Whip It and her favorite bands are Coldplay, Green Day, Kate Nash and lots of pop. Madeleine is 11 years old.

What are your favorite accomplishments? Learning how to rock climb a 510A. Learning how to draw people and paint beautiful things. Learning the piano.

Regrets: I have no regrets.

What are your passions and obsessions? Being in the wilderness and camping. Being with my friends. Cats and other animals. Good food. I love steak and will have mine medium-rare please. Vintage and thrift store clothes shopping. Art!

What is the toughest thing you’ve ever gone through? The divorce of my parents and having to travel back and forth to L.A. to see my dad.

What is something about you that surprises people? That my dad lives in L.A. That I have many personalities. (Acting school for sure!)

What would you do with a million dollars? Donate some to the SPCA, the Food Bank, and Loaves and Fishes. Save some and then go window shopping.

Sound off! PEACE!

Thanks Madeleine!
