This is Bob. I met Bob and his partner Mary at Peet’s on J St. Bob is an East Coaster, born in Norfolk, VA and raised in Hell’s Kitchen in New York City. He had a paper route that translated into running numbers for mob guys. He delivered booze. At about 18 or 19, he made his way to Louisiana and began working oil rigs in the Gulf. A few years later he began his 25 year career with heavy equipment operating, drilling, and logistics, independently contracted to Haliburton. He has been over the world 3 times or more, Alaska is his favorite, Libya and Haiti were the worst. Africa , he says, is nothing but confusion everywhere.  He is certified to train you on a fire-arm up to squad level, but he’s never been in the military. He’s done PMC (private military company) work. Politically, he dislikes both parties and believes that we need to get rid of the greedy corporations that are ruining the country and get back to strict constitutional government. Bob is retired, but might consult if motivated…. Bob is 50.

Favorite Accomplishments: Meeting Mary and getting our lives and relationship together. We met in Stockton and have been together for 10 years. My 22 yr. old son, he’s in the Navy. I’m real proud of the dork.

Regrets: Failing to make my first marriage work. It was a failure of communication, and I was gone for months at a time on jobs. We still bicker, but we have a great son.

What are your passions and obsessions? Fire-arms, high powered rifles, parachuting ( I have 38 jumps). Anything old that goes fast, except for Mary. I’m a gear head.

Where’s the most dangerous place you’ve worked? Any oil rig that’s had a blow-out. That’s a scary situation.

Sound off! I hate the U.N. and I hope, before I die, that the country will get its collective head out of its ass.

Right and wrong. Legal and Illegal. Justice. They have nothing to do with each other.
