This is Bailey. Bailey is a musician. He plays guitar and drums, sings and howls and generally rocks out. He has a day job as an eighth grader at Camellia Waldorf School. But school is just an excuse to see his friends before they hit the basement and turn up the amps to 11. He’s lucky that his parents support him in his musical ambitions and credits his dad in getting him into music. His favorite bands are Green Day, Led Zeppelin, the White Stripes, and My Chemical Romance. Bailey starts high school this fall and plans on studying music on into college. Bailey is 14.

Favorite Accomplishments: Learning how to play guitar and drums. Learning how to play ‘Stairway To Heaven’ on guitar (this song, apparently, will never die). Learning how to play drums to the Green Day song ‘Basket Case’.

Regrets: Not playing guitar earlier in my life. Not begging my dad to take me to see the White Stripes at the Warfield.

What are your passions/obsessions? Music. Playing it, watching it, and listening to it. Mostly rock, classic punk, grunge and blues.

What’s your favorite musical memory? Going to see Weezer with my dad. We are both into them. Going to see Green Day at Arco Arena with my dad was also pretty awesome.

What was the first song you learned to play? ‘I Will Follow You Into The Dark’ by Death Cab For Cutie.

Sound Off! Listen to Rock and Roll people!! Keep real music alive and remember, the Beatles started it all (hmmm, you may have an argument on your hands there…).

What are your favorite Beatles songs? I Am the Walrus and I’m Down.

Thanks Bailey. Rock on!
