This is Rabbit. Rabbit and a bunch of us art students from Sac City went to the de Young Museum in San Francisco today. Rabbit loves spiders and insects and is a scientific aid at the California Dept. of Food and Agriculture. She hopes to get her degree in entomology. Her first job at the CDFA was to curate the collection of spiders and related arthropods. There were approximately 10,000 spiders and it took over 2 years. Rabbit also makes clothes and sings and writes songs in the jazz-goth band String Theory. She digs Nina Hagen. Rabbit’s birthday is tomorrow. She’ll be 26.

Favorite Accomplishments: The many beautiful wool skirts I have made. Going back to college. I isolated and am currently describing a new species of flies!

Regrets: Regrets are for people who don’t appreciate learning the hard way.

What are your passions/obsessions? I love learning, making clothes, and cockroaches.

What’s your favorite spider? Phidippos Audax a.k.a. the Daring Jumper. They are big and black with white spots. They’re so cute!

What was your favorite thing at the de Young today? The observation tower.

Sound Off! Tomorrow is my birthday. This isn’t where I thought I’d be at 26, but the view from up here is pretty sweet.

Thanks Rabbit. Fist bump.
