This is Josselin. I met Josselin at Step One tonight after her Pilates class. Josselin graduated from Chico State with a Bachelors in French, and another in PR and News Ed. She doesn’t want to jinx it by talking about it, but she hopes to get into the Graduate School for Journalism at City University New York.  If not, she’s hitting the road, maybe back to Paris where she has lived before. Josselin is 23.

Favorite Accomplishments: They have yet to be accomplished.

Regrets: Apathy, mediocrity, and my inability to have my personal successes translate into professional successes.

What are your passions/obsessions? Social responsibility and respect. Tolerance. Learning and writing other people’s stories.

Why French? The French seem to value the things in life that matter – love, food, life. These simple things have more meaning for them.

Favorite French meal? Escargot and bread, and boudin.

Sound Off! Most people are rude, lack tolerance and severely misunderstand the give and take of social responsibility and respect. I detest religion and those who act with malice in the name of religion. I find it strange that the things I feel most impassioned about are the considerations of others, that affect not myself, but people I observe. Shouldn’t I feel passionately about poverty? The economy? Love? A career? I think I find these things easier to deal with than the inconsiderate acts of others. Happiness is relative. Mediocrity leads to stagnancy. The rendering of any great work is generally a result of much emotional strain and torment. And fast food is disgusting.

So there! Thanks Josselin.
